Adolescence is a period of discovery during which we build our identity. It is lived differently according to the cultural, geographical, and societal aspects of one's environment.
Between December 2020 and April 2021, I followed teenagers in Paris, Perpignan, and Tbilisi. "Adolescences" is built into three chapters.
Perpignan for Uyghurs focuses on Maryam and Hana, friends and activists in Perpignan. They are 15 years old and combine their values with their daily lives as young women. In February 2021, they launched the collective "Perpignan for Uyghurs" following the call of Raphael Glucksmann. They wish to raise awareness among the residents of Perpignan about the repression of Uyghurs in China. In a city with an extreme right-wing mayor, these two friends use collage and leaflets to be heard.
